After a whirlwind house hunt (30 homes in 2 days), J.D. and I decided to put an offer on this beautiful 4bed/2.5bath home in Houston, TX (Clearlake area near NASA). After a challenging closing process (the previous homeowners were not very collaborative) we moved in at the end of January.What sold us on this particular house? Although we saw some homes that had a better layout, we decided to go with this one for three main reasons:
#1-it is located at the end of a cul-de-sac
#2-we have a huge backyard [by TX standards]
#3-no back neighbors [very rare in TX]
So..we have a beautiful home that hasn't been updated since 1996...which means there is a lot of carpet, wallpaper and brassy gold fixtures. This blog will document all the changes! Also, since we live so far from family and I know a lot of you are interested in how we are decorating, you'll be able to 'visit us at home' virtually.
